Tampa Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Friday, August 21st , 2026 Even the most die-hard fans of the Tampa Capitals will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Capitals closer David Robertson. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." Tampa last appeared in the postseason in 2015. This is their 11th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 14 times in their 22-year history. |
