Red-Hot Keith Scorches Keys Wednesday, August 7th , 2024 5 times is the charm -- at least for David Keith. The Mexico City Aztecs third baseman tore up the Long Beach Keys to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Long Beach Grounds. The offensive onslaught from Keith powered the 13-10 Aztecs win. "Keith was a tough out," Long Beach manager Ron Kunkleman said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." David Keith singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Arhippa Hynninen in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
