Super Week for Newark's Schwark! Monday, August 17th , 2026 Newark fans have something to crow about today as Newark third baseman Adam Schwark nabbed the Northern A Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Schwark. He posted a .684 average (13-for-19) this past week with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. For the season, Schwark is batting .335 with 53 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 18 times and batted in 21. |
