Big 3-HR Day for Benitez Saturday, August 3rd , 2024 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Dolly Parton Ballpark buzzing, Dollywood Partons second baseman Max Benitez blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 7-1, over the Bangor Lumberjacks. "Everything was clicking," Benitez told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Benitez shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Partons manager Adam Freeman said. "Max played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Max Benitez hit a two-run home run off Carlos Loera in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Loera in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Loera in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Benitez is hitting .353 for the season with 13 home runs, 56 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has 106 hits in 300 at-bats and played in 84 games. |
