Mexico City's Townsend Snaps Up July Batting Award Saturday, August 1st , 2026 Josh Townsend may be much younger than other hitters in the Southern A, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in July to win the Batter of the Month award. The 21-year-old Mexico City third baseman hit .336 with 12 home runs, 33 RBIs and 26 runs scored. This year, Townsend is hitting .319 with 14 home runs. |
