Porter Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Thursday, July 18th , 2024 Ben Porter of the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 3 hits in today's 5-2 triumph over the Tampa Capitals at Jet Hawks Ballpark. "Ben has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Jet Hawks manager Sadayuki Nishikawa joked after the game. Ben Porter singled in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Danny Villa in the 7th. Porter is currently hitting .385 with 14 home runsand 65 RBIs, while scoring 83 runs. |
