Martinez Hits in 20 Straight Games Wednesday, July 17th , 2024 The hitting streak for Columbus third baseman Danny Martinez now stands at 20 games, but the Bowsers dropped today's contest 4-3 to the Nashua Sweepers. Martinez went 2-for-3 in the game. "Things went well for me personally," he said. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Danny Martinez singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, reached via catchers interference in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season in 29 games, Martinez has hit at a .387 clip with 48 hits, 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and 21 runs scored. |
