Northern A Top Player Is Ariëns
Thursday, October 22nd , 2020
The manager of the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks said he thinks Ton Ariëns is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 22, but it will be hard to top the third baseman's 2020 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Northern A Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .306 batting average and a .375 on-base percentage this year. In 125 games he piled up 131 hits, 14 doubles, no triples, 39 home runs, 104 RBIs and 74 runs scored.
He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Steve Gunnells of the Newark Flyers finished second in voting, while Billy Sawyer of the Newark Flyers finished third.
