Sarabia Named N-A Pitcher of the Year Award Winner Tuesday, October 18th , 2022 It was a glorious year for Eddie Sarabia of the Newark Flyers. He finished the season with 17 victories and only 3 losses, with an impressive 2.04 ERA. The talented Flyers pitcher started 28 games and struck out 196 batters in 180.2 innings and won the Northern A Pitcher of the Year Award. "It means a lot," Sarabia said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year." He received 16 first place votes out of a possible 24. John Manship of the Santa Rosa Desperados finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Jose Perez of the Newark Flyers finished third with 3 first place votes.
