Kovatch Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games
Friday, July 12th , 2024
The Mexico City Aztecs may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 7-6, to the Barrie Admirals, but Cameron Kovatch continued to hit like a god.
The right fielder collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Kovatch is playing great and is on fire right now," Aztecs manager Tony Velez said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Kovatch was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Cameron Kovatch struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
For the year, Kovatch is batting .302 with 6 home runs, 54 RBIs and 47 runs scored.
