Torres Crushes 3 Homers Against Deltaville Saturday, July 11th , 2026 Vinny Torres went on an explosive hitting spree against the Deltaville Deltas at Ballpark of Austin, launching a trio of blasts to help the Huntsville Rockets win, 12-5. The left fielder finished 4-for-6 with 4 runs scored and 5 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Torres said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Deltaville skipper Tyler Byrd said Torres was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Vinny Torres hit a solo-shot off Jesse Sitton in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Craig Tasillo in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. Torres is hitting .294 this season with 11 home runs, 40 RBIs and 67 runs scored. He has 100 hits in 340 at-bats. |
