Tropics Himes Raps 3 Homers

Kyle Himes went yard three times in a White Deer Tropics victory over the Atlanta Aggies at Ballpark of White Deer.
"I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit."
For the day, the White Deer right fielder went 4-for-5 against Atlanta with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Tropics to the 11-2 win.
"I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out."
Kyle Himes hit a solo-shot off Tyler Murphy in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Tyler Murphy in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jeremy Killian in the 8th.
This year, Himes is hitting at a .293 pace with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs. He has played in 68 games and scored 53 times.
