Partons Move on to League Championship Series Thursday, September 15th , 2022 The Division Series may not have lived up to the expectation that it would be a dogfight that would go the distance. The Dollywood Partons, however, are not complaining. The Partons were plenty happy to have wrapped up the series early and to have knocked out the Barrie Admirals to advance to the League Championship Series. Dollywood won the final game by a 5-0 count at Dolly Parton Ballpark and the series 4-1. Partons center fielder Ryan Fitzgerald was named series MVP, as he hit .350 with a .350 on-base percentage. He added 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 2 runs. "It's not going to be the last time Barrie makes it to the playoffs, so it's sure a nice feeling to put them out this year," Fitzgerald said. "We just need to keep this going and take it day by day." The Dollywood Partons don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the White Deer Tropics - Bangor Lumberjacks series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece.
