Davis Hits in 20 Straight Games Thursday, June 20th , 2024 Matt Davis extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games in the 15-9 Cottage City triumph over the Newark Flyers. The 20-year-old Cannonballers third baseman collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats. "Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." Matt Davis hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Aaron Wakefield in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
