McCoy Joins 3-HR Club Wednesday, June 19th , 2024 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Aggies Ballpark were taking cover all day long as Justin McCoy zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Mexico City right fielder helped the Aztecs take the victory, 7-4, over the Atlanta Aggies. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 3 and scored 3 runs. Justin McCoy flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Joe Turner in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Nate Newman in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Killian in the 9th. McCoy is currently batting .306 with 21 home runs and 54 RBIs. |
