Glace Bay's Cortez Out 8-9 Months Tuesday, July 22nd , 2025 A blow for Luis Cortez today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 8-9 months with a stretched elbow ligament. Cortez suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Glace Bay Miners are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Cortez's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. This year, Cortez has gone 8-3 with an ERA of 3.70 and has 107 strikeouts in 99.2 innings. |
