Fodera Gets Award for Relief Work
Friday, October 11th , 2019
Chris Fodera said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 22 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Bangor Lumberjacks rising star has won the Southern A Reliever of the Year Award for 2019.

He captured the award on the strength of his 1.78 ERA over 75.2 innings. He also had 11 saves in 41 relief appearances, 90 strikeouts and only 17 walks.

He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Brian Hammond of the Lake Elsinore Storm finished second in voting, while Rick Patterson of the Louisville Sweepers finished third.
