The Bowsers have lost the services of reliever Eric Hayes for the rest of the season due to a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Hayes was injured in a recent game with the Long Beach Keys while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 10 months. So far this season, Hayes has compiled a 3-8 won-lost mark with no saves and a 8.67 ERA. In 81 innings he has fanned 80 and opponents are hitting him at a .286 clip. |
