Miners Lose Vazquez for Season Thursday, August 3rd , 2023 The season is finished for Freddy Vazquez of the Glace Bay Miners. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Miners starting pitcher suffered a torn meniscus while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the San Antonio Stallions. Team doctors said it would take at least 4-5 months to heal. In 18 starts this year, Vazquez has crafted a 6-1 record and a 1.98 ERA. |
