Desperados Move on to League Championship Series Monday, September 20th , 2021 It went the distance, but the Santa Rosa Desperados finally disposed of the St. Catharines Blue Jays 5-0 in the series clincher at Engineers Ballpark. Winning the finale gave the Desperados the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the League Championship Series. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Santa Rosa center fielder Gary Nahum. He batted .438 in the series, collecting 2 RBIs and scoring 4 runs. "Gary deserves it," said Desperados manager Justin Watts. "He was the glue that held our club together." The Santa Rosa Desperados will play against the Newark Flyers in the next round. Newark won their series against the San Antonio Stallions 4 games to 2.
