Flood 22-Game Hitting Streak Ends Wednesday, July 19th , 2023 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Gene Flood as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Lake Elsinore Storm. It wasn't all bad for the 22-year-old center fielder and the Bangor Lumberjacks however, as they defeated Lake Elsinore, 1-0, at Ballpark of Bangor. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Flood laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." Flood is currently batting .301 with 11 home runs, 56 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has 106 hits in 352 at-bats. |
