Injury Sidelines John Huber For Year Thursday, June 26th , 2025 The doctors have spoken and John Huber of the Newark Flyers didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Huber sustained his season-ending injury during the Tampa Capitals game yesterday at Capitals Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Newark medical staff reported Huber had bone chips in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. Huber's record so far this season is 6-and-3 with no saves and a 3.46 ERA. He has given up 68 hits in 67.2 innings with 47 strikeouts. |
