Flood Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, July 16th , 2023 Lumberjacks center fielder Gene Flood has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 2-for-7 in today's game against the Barrie Admirals. Bangor won the ballgame, 4-2. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Gene Flood hit a solo-shot off Isaiah Singletary in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, flied out in the 9th, struck out in the 11th, grounded out in the 14th and flied out in the 15th. This year, Flood has hit at a .304 pace and produced 56 RBIs, 11 home runs and scored 54 runs. |
