Boone on the Attack, Player of the Week Monday, September 7th , 2020 When it came to hitting the baseball, Mat Boone was in a class by himself in the Southern A this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding third baseman for Weedpatch tagged opposing pitchers for a .435 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 10 hits in 23 at-bats, 3 homers, 4 runs scored and 9 RBIs. In 2020 Boone has hit at a .268 clip with 62 hits, 8 home runs, 37 RBIs and has scored 24 times. |
