Ciervo Rocks Storm for 3 HRs Wednesday, June 12th , 2024 Fans are still buzzing after Mexico City whipped the Lake Elsinore Storm by the score of 21-8 at Dust Devils Ballpark. Jeff Ciervo smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the shortstop bashed out 6 hits in 7 at-bats, had 9 RBIs and scored 5 times. At the postgame press conference, Ciervo said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Ciervo said. "Three is just... wow." Jeff Ciervo grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 9th. Thus far this year, Ciervo is batting .363 with 15 home runs, 58 RBIs and 56 runs scored. |
