Kalamazoo Snaps Lilienthal Streak at 23
Wednesday, June 12th , 2024
The 23-game hitting streak is over.

Atlanta Aggies center fielder Eric Lilienthal failed to get a hit against the Kalamazoo Comets and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 22-year-old went 0-for-3 in his club's 6-4 victory over the Comets at Aggies Ballpark.

"I think I only made it to 23 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak."

At present, Lilienthal is batting .388 with 52 hits and 11 home runs. He has knocked in 39 runs and scored 42 times.
