Playoffs? No Chance for Long Beach Friday, August 10th , 2018 After a tough year, the Long Beach Keys have been the butt of jokes around many water coolers in the Long Beach area. There will be some new fodder for jaded fans to discuss now -- the club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. The Keys have made the playoffs 10 times in their 19 years as a ABA Class-A League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2013. In the last 10 seasons, the Keys have missed the playoffs 4 times. Long Beach last won the World Series in 2010. |
