Capitals Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Sunday, August 21st , 2022 The playoff hopes of the Tampa Capitals -- which were already faint at best -- are now completely extinguished. The team will miss the playoffs this year, being mathematically eliminated from contention today. Tampa last appeared in the postseason in 2015. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 10 times in their 18-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Capitals have missed the playoffs 5 times. |
