The Mexico City first baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Guevara told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Arturo Guevara hit a solo-shot off Matt Helle in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, walked in a run in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. For the year, Guevara has hit .341 with 11 home runs, 50 RBIs and scored 42 runs. |
