Stallions Capen Booms 3 HRs Wednesday, August 10th , 2022 John Capen went yard three times in a San Antonio Stallions victory over the Cottage City Cannonballers at Alamo Field. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the San Antonio left fielder went 3-for-4 against Cottage City with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Stallions to the 11-5 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." John Capen hit a solo-shot off Adam Obermeier in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Adam Obermeier in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Adam Obermeier in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and walked in the 6th.
