Admirals Gillespie Sizzles with Cycle Tuesday, May 21st , 2024 Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Aggies Ballpark. Josh Gillespie of the Barrie Admirals accomplished the feat against Atlanta Aggies. Gillespie went 4-for-7 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 24-11 Barrie victory. "That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Gillespie said after the game. Gillespie also scored 3 runs and had 11 runs batted in in a day to remember for both Gillespie and the crowd at Aggies Ballpark. Josh Gillespie struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run triple in the 3rd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit a sac fly in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 9th.
