Great Week for Long Beach's Jim Sykora Monday, July 27th , 2020 Jim Sykora has been in a real groove lately. The 21-year-old Long Beach Keys first baseman nabbed Southern A Player of the Week honors today after beating up on opposing pitchers all last week. Sykora's hot streak featured 14 hits in 25 at-bats, 6 home runs, 12 RBIs, 10 runs scored and a .560 average. This year Sykora is hitting .325 with 34 home runs and 83 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .432 clip and scored 66 runs. |
