Vicari Sizzles with 30-Game Batting Streak Saturday, June 6th , 2026 The Glace Bay Miners stopped the St. Catharines Blue Jays, 7-1, and Neil Vicari collected a base hit yet again. The Glace Bay catcher finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 30. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Vicari told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Neil Vicari singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Currently Vicari has 5 home runs and a .297 batting average. |
