Felkins Jacks 3 into the Stands
Tuesday, July 14th , 2020
The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Glace Bay Miners today.
Deltaville first baseman Bryan Felkins tripled up on the home runs to propel the Deltas to the 11-2 win at Rogers Centre.
"We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Glace Bay manager Angel Cano said. "Felkins hit the heck out of the ball."
In addition to the homers, Felkins collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
"Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings."
Bryan Felkins flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Amari Allard in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Amari Allard in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Bob Munoz in the 8th.
This season Felkins has hit at a .265 clip with 40 RBIs, 20 home runs and 35 runs scored. He has played in 52 games.
