Reidy Bashes 5 Base Hits Monday, July 13th , 2020 It was a sensational day at the plate for Matt Reidy as he led the charge to a 5-4 win over the Ambassadors. The Newark shortstop was pure misery for the Fremont pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Reidy put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said John McNair, manager for the Ambassadors, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Matt Reidy hit a solo-shot off Mike Gibson in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, doubled in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
