5-Hit Blitz by Bangor's Amparan Friday, May 29th , 2026 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Steve Amparan -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Wizards Stadium and paced the 10-2 Lumberjacks win over the Kalamazoo Comets. After his dynamite batting performance, the Bangor right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Steve Amparan singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
