Fineman Goes on Rampage Against Ambassadors Thursday, June 30th , 2022 A jubilant A.J. Fineman joined the postgame press conference at Cannonballers Ballpark to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Fremont Ambassadors pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Cottage City Cannonballers right fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led to the 12-7 Cannonballers win. "He made it look easy," said John McNair, manager of the Ambassadors. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." A.J. Fineman hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Gregg Cuevas in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Mike Brandon in the 8th.
