Day Hits in 20 Straight Games Wednesday, September 1st , 2021 The Barrie Admirals stopped the Atlanta Aggies, 4-1, and Andrew Day collected a base hit yet again. The Barrie second baseman finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Day told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Andrew Day grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. Day currently has a .359 batting average with 66 hits, 4 homers, 30 RBIs, 24 runs scored and a .387 OBP. |
