Northern A West Division Winner is St. Catharines Blue Jays Wednesday, September 1st , 2021 Let loose, St. Catharines fans, your team has won the Northern A West Division. The St. Catharines Blue Jays have officially captured the crown, the 3rd in franchise history. "We've got a team that can do it all and we think do it just as well as anyone in the league," said starting pitcher Mike Mayes. "I hope no one is taking us lightly once the playoffs start." Certainly the team's division crown will garner them a fair bit of respect, as the 85-48 record puts the club in position for the franchise's 1st ABA Class-A League championship. "You never get tired of being in the playoffs," said manager Walt DeRosier. "This is what you play for." |
