Year Over for Blue Jays Dineen Monday, August 30th , 2021 The season is ending on a bad note for Mike Dineen, closer for the St. Catharines Blue Jays. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Dineen was hurt against the Cottage City Cannonballers while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn back muscle and will be out for at least 5 months. Up to this point in the season, Dineen has put up these stats: 43 relief appearances, 13 saves, 41.1 IP, 54 strikeouts and 2.61 ERA. His won-lost record is 5-5 with the opposition is hitting .252 against him. |
