Blue Jays End Richardson Streak Thursday, June 29th , 2023 The St. Catharines Blue Jays pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Nate Richardson hitless in 1 at-bat during the club's 7-5 victory over the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks at Jet Hawks Ballpark. The disappointing performance ended a 23-game hitting streak for the catcher. "I'm a little down right now," Richardson said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." At present, Richardson is batting .355 with 43 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 8 runs and scored 19 times. |
