Season-Ending Injury for Adam Mesler

Adam Mesler has to call it a season. The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Glace Bay Miners and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Mesler was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 11 months.
Thus far this season, Mesler has tossed 62.2 innings in 11 starts, fanned 65 batters, walked 17 and put up a 1.72 ERA with 6 wins and 1 loss.
