Pope Punishes N-A Pitchers This Week Monday, August 2nd , 2021 Corey Pope swung a blistering bat last week for Glace Bay, rapping out 11 hits in 21 at-bats against Miners opponents to propel himself to the Northern A Player of the Week Award. Whenever the left fielder hit the ball, he hit it with authority. The 21-year-old racked up a .524 batting average with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Looking at his season stats, Pope has compiled a .284 batting average and a .357 on-base percentage, while hitting 28 home runs and driving in 72 runs. |
