3-Game Suspensions for Woody-Furphy Fight Tuesday, May 27th , 2025 Tempers were flaring yesterday at Ballpark of Bangor. Both the Heroes and Lumberjacks were defending their turf. A few punches were thrown, but fortunately very few landed -- there was more wrestling than fighting. When the umpires sorted everything out, Pueblo's Jason Woody and Bangor's Pat Furphy were ejected from the game. Today the league office suspended Woody and Furphy for 3 games each. In 19 games this season, Woody has batted at a .403 pace with 25 hits and 4 home runs. For this year, Furphy has chalked up 5 wins and 2 losses in 0 starts with 32 strikeouts in 34 innings and a 5.29 ERA. |
