Park Fashions No-Hitter Against Blue Jays Sunday, July 14th , 2019 San Antonio Stallions starter Seung-woo Park came up big today at Engineers Ballpark with an exceptional 3-0 outing against the St. Catharines Blue Jays. Not only did he whip them, but Park held them hitless, too. "My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Park. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens." In the course of the no-hitter, Park collected 11 strikeouts and surrendered 4 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books. Up to now Park has recorded a record of 13-2. In 18 starts he has fanned 142 batters in 120.1 innings with a 2.17 ERA. |
