Sarate Strokes 5 Hits Monday, May 19th , 2025 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Cesar Sarate -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Cannonballers Ballpark and paced the 14-5 Desperados win over the Cottage City Cannonballers. After his dynamite batting performance, the Santa Rosa shortstop told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Cesar Sarate hit a solo-shot off Israel Beristain in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
