Going, Going, Gone! Chennault Hits 3 Homers Sunday, June 20th , 2021 Long Beach Keys right fielder Joe Chennault left the Louisville pitching staff in ruins at Miller Park, beating the Sweepers, 13-8, with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Chennault told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Long Beach right fielder had 3 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 7 and scored 3 runs. Joe Chennault flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Lorenzo Martinez in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Dusty Thomas in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Adam Black in the 10th. Looking at his stats this year, Chennault has compiled a .234 batting average, while hitting 15 home runs and driving in 38 runs. He has played in 63 games and scored 40 runs. |
