Capra Bashes 5 Base Hits
Monday, April 26th , 2021
It was almost a perfect day for Jeremy Capra.
The St. Louis second baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Cavalry lost to the Hialeah Firecats, 11-10. Capra told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."
St. Louis manager Leo Medina told the beat writers otherwise.
"There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."
Jeremy Capra hit a solo-shot off Chris Mueller in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Francisco Elizalde in the 8th.
Capra is hitting .246 this year with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 17 hits in 69 at-bats, 4 walks and a .288 on-base percentage. Capra has played in 17 games.
