Winchester Moves on to World Series Saturday, September 21st , 2024 Ben Everly has led his Winchester Mountaineers to a League Championship Series victory. Winchester's catcher was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 4-1 and eliminating the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "It's simple what I did this series." The club advanced to the World Series with a 8-3 triumph at EBDBBNB Park in the deciding game. Everly was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .429 average, as well as 3 home runs and 5 RBI. The Winchester Mountaineers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Sonoma Scorpions - Augusta Capitols series. Sonoma leads the series 3 games to 1.
