Guevara on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Boise
Wednesday, July 31st , 2024
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Arturo Guevara is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Boise Dread Kings at EBDBBNB Park. The monster effort from the 23-year-old second baseman helped the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers get the win, 6-4.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Dread Kings manager Sean Drummond. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Arturo Guevara hit a solo-shot off Jesus Garcia in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Thus far this season, Guevara has hit .279 with 8 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 23 times.
